Elf on the Shelf Antics

My children are 5 and 8 and absolutely love Elf on the Shelf (EotS). We use it part as a “behave” incentive and partly to keep the Christmas Magic alive!

For those who don’t know about EotS, basically the elf is real and keeps watch on the kids during the day (but is still like the Toy Story toys) then flies back to the North Pole every night to report to Santa and in the morning it’s in a different spot in the house, often having got up to naughty tricks.

We don’t have the “original” elf, I find that one creepy, Sparkle is our larger elf (from Ikea) and Jingle is the smaller elf (from Waitrose). The children won Jingle at a Christmas Faye’s and decided to “bring him to life” as a friend for Sparkle, so we now have two elves.

Our elves don’t do fun tricks every night, sometimes they just move to a new position and sometimes they “forget” to move (opps)

Below you will find a few EotS antics which my naughty little elf has got up to:

Jingle and Sparkle go fishing in our goldfish bowl.

Crash landing from the North Pole tonight with a ceiling squish.

Sparkle made us breakfast and nicked some of it!

Sparkle did some cheeky baking.

Using the chalkola chalk markers the naughty elves drew on our family photos (note this is drawn on the glass so will wipe off)

Chalk Pens – Pack of 8 Earth colour markers – Use on Whiteboard, Chalkboard, Window, Blackboard, Bistros Glass – 6 mm Bullet Tip

I will post again with more antics later in December.
