Children get anxious, same as adults. As an adult who has suffered from anxiety I can understand how hard it is for a child with anxiety to express what is worrying them. Sometimes it isn’t a specific thing, but a bunch of little things, which makes talking about it that much harder to do.
Both products follow the same theme, which is getting your children to release their worries but telling the fairy, however the new kit has taken this a step further, firstly by making the plaque smaller, and more portable, so you can take it with you, but also by adding in the conversation cards and feelings journal.
The feelings journal is great for an older child, like my daughter who is 9, she can write down what is worrying her and ever talk about it with me or hide her diary away and keep it private.
The conversation cards are useful as a prompt to help you start conversations and talking to your child. If nothing else a bit of one-on-one time with your child will make them feel like they can talk to you about anything. Then when they do have a worry they will feel more comfortable coming to you with the problem.
What I love about this pack is that there is no “adult” instructions, the whole packaging is talking about the fairy taking the worry away, so there is no misunderstandings about how “real” the fairy is. My daughter is 9, which I thought might be too old for it, but she has attached it to her school bag and takes it in with her now. Hopefully it helps her be less anxious and sleep better!! She even did her own video about this product, check it out here, she is an aspiring YouTuber so a few comments would be greatly appreciated.
