We are currently saving so we can move house and part of the reason we have for wanting to move is to get a separate Dining Room, at the moment we have a kitchen diner which is fine for everyday use but if you have visitors it is nice to not eat where you do the preparations, it’s just much tidier.
I was asked to design a wish list for my new Dining Room, so I can share it with all of you! Here is my wish list:
Table: I would go for a lovely Oiled Oak extending table, that way we can all sit together as a family or when people visit we will have enough space for everyone at the table.
Chairs: We like big comfortable, full back, dining chairs, like these Charcoal Woven Mesh chairs. Properly padded for comfort and high back, that way you can sit and enjoy the conversation long after you have finished eating.
Paint: being environmentally friendly I would go with Reborn Paints, which is made from recycled paint. Reduce, Reuse, Recycle!
Sideboard: I would love a proper sideboard in our Dining Room. I would store our alcohol supplies in there and anything you may need during a meal (serviettes or bottle openers) so you don’t have to run back to the kitchen half way through a meal. I would go for Oiled Oak to match the table.
Mirror: I like decorating using mirrors. ThisMulti Panel wall mirrorwould reflect the light, making any room seem bigger and yet the panel design means it is very decorative.
Clock: A wall clock in the Dining Room is important, that way you can keep an eye on your dessert times while eating the main course, you don’t want that pie to burn! This clock is a stunning example of a lovely wall clock.
Which room in the house do you dream of making over? I can’t wait until we have a Dining Room I can be let loose on!
