Lalaloopsy Babies Potty Surprise Doll

Daddy took the kids to the toy shop this week and let them pick out whatever they wanted. My darling daughter (aged 8) chose a Lalaloopsy Babies Potty Surprise which is priced at RRP £29.99.

To put it plainly the doll cr*ps sand shaped into “fun” shapes. The children think it is hilarious and adults wonder who on earth came up with this idea!? Lol

The baby comes with 3 packets of “baby food” which is basically the same as the kinetic sand/crazy sand and they feed it to the baby, then rock the baby a little on the Potty (there is a little button which needs to be pressed) and voila out pops a little bit of “baby poop” in a fun shape.

The kids were so pleased they just had to review it for you:

My daughter modelled the dress and have fun striking a post in the garden. The Size were perfectly fit to her and look comfortable. The dress appeared to be well made with good quality of fabric which is 100 percent cotton. The  dress has a lovely scoop neck and purple fixed belt at the front and pretty bow ties at the back. The dress has a beautiful floral patterned and flared skirt and fully lined. The dress were specially made to order and delivery time will take up to 4 weeks as it’s hand made in the uk. It’s all free uk delivery as well so it’s good. The dress is machine washable according to their care instruction.

What I love about them is that their dresses are very special because each one is individually crafted by expert dressmakers right here in the UK, which remind me of my native country philippines. We usually have our dress made by our local dressmaker so that it fits us perfectly and customised based on our personal style and preferences, Which is the same as the Vintage sweetheart as their dress can be customised and its a fantastic value for money. They also donate £3 from each dress that they sell to Mango Tree Children’s Charity in India so it’s for a good cause as well. It’s a good quality of product that gives back to the community so you feel good and proud to wear it. Definitely makes you feel beautiful inside and out.

Homemade skinless longganisa ( Filipino sausage ) recipe | #foodiefriday

I missed Filipino food sometimes that I have to recreate and learn recipe online just to have it.

This one is we called longganisa ( Filipino sausage ) it’s skinless and best serve with sunny side up egg and rice for breakfast.

Recipe adapted from Kusina master

Ingredients :
1 kilo ground pork, 10% fat

1/4 cup packed brown sugar

1 tablespoon rock salt (or 1 1/2 teaspoon fine salt)

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

3 tablespoons soy sauce

1 tablespoon garlic, chopped

1/2 teaspoon black pepper, ground.
Cooking instruction :

Blend all the above ingredients.

Roll a small amount of the pork mixture in a 4 1/2 inches x 3 inches wax paper

( I use cling film to roll and shape the mixture and wrapping it and only remove it before cooking. )

Store in the freezer for 3 hours or until ready to cook.

When ready to cook, heat oil in a wok or frying-pan.

Unwrap the sausages and fry in batches in hot oil until fully cooked.

Drain on paper towels.

Garnish with spring onion, if desired, and served with rice and tomatoes or Garlic-Vinegar Dip.

These sausages can also be frozen until needed.

This is how I serve and eat it. I usually have it with rice, along with sunny side up egg, corn beef, and fresh tomato. This is the usual breakfast in the philippines.

❤ Happy Foodie Friday everyone ❤️

A dog friendly family walk

Every weekend we take the dog out on a nice long walk, she doesn’t get much during the week so we like to make up for it over the weekend. Our favourite walking spot is Clymping in West Sussex.

If you park up by St Mary’s Primary School, it is free parking and a nice distance from the beach. Then head South along the path/mud track through the fields  and  after a 30/45 minute walk, you will reach the beach. The beach is shingle at the top, but more sandy below when the tide is out. If you want a longer walk you can walk along the shore a bit before walking back up the same path.

It is a really lovely walk through fields and country side, there are normally no cars so it’s nice and safe for the kids to run and play.

There are often some horses in a field half way down which the children love to call over for petting.

Bethany was very excited to find a fossil in a rock on the beach:

(Please excuse the painty fingers)

Jack wanted to show off his “writing rock” he found (chalk)

If it has been raining you probably want wellys for the kids as the puddles get quite big and tempting, but adults shouldn’t need them unless it has been really wet.

We love this walk, not too far for the children and there is the beach half way with fun rock pools to encourage them to keep walking! Definitely a good walk for the family!

Anthony James white vintage men’s watch review | #triedtested

It’s our 10th year wedding anniversary next month with my lovely husband so I thought I will give him a watch as a present. I was lucky enough to be chosen to review this watch from New Designer Anthony James Analogue White & Silver Quartz Mens Watch Sale Links Strap & White Calendar

I have received this watch the next day after I ordered it which is a quick delivery and upon removing from its packaging, I was impress with its quality. The overall packaging was presentable and looks expensive. The box appeared smart and really looking stylish. If I don’t know the price, I thought it’s a designer range.

Inside the box you have the watch and user manual and it’s lifetime warranty which makes me more amazed that it’s offer a lifetime. Taking the watch out, you can notice some clear plastic protection wrapped in bracelet and in the face and back of the watch. The watch appeared reasonable size for a man it’s not chunky or too big I think it’s perfect.

This watch is meant for my husband but I have tried it on and looks lovely. The watch looks expensive and smart to wear. The watch feature has the main analogue clock face and seconds and the date which can be easily adjusted with the button. The button and dial on the watch seems durable and won’t break easily. The watch has also Anthony James engraved at the back and on the bracelet lock.

I’m overall impress with the quality, design and value of this watch. I think it’s a good quality watch and excellent value of money. I’m very pleased with this watch and would definitely recommend it. I’m sure it’s the perfect 10th wedding anniversary for my husband. I hope he likes it though 🙂

Rubaisha; the story of unrealised love. By Naseha Sameen

2016. Egyptian historical fiction.
Rubaisha is the story of a mysterious Egyptian queen Rubaisha of Rubailee. It tells the story of her life, initially as a biography in the hands of an Egyptologist and then through magic as they travel back in time.

Available here, for just £1.53:

Rubaisha: The Story of Unrealized Love (The Time Trilogy Book 1)

Initially I felt for the character Rubaisha, but as the story progresses you realise she is human afterall as she makes some mistakes and her death is her own fault, which she has blamed others for.

The character I related to most was Arkush (the hero). He always tries to fight on the side of good, but sometimes it’s not always black and white.

I loved the character Alaina and would like to read a story based on the rest of her life.

The style this author writes in is unusual, very brief and to the point, there isn’t huge descriptive passages which drone on for ages. I like it! You get the story, clearly and detailed and get drawn into the Egyptian world.

Sometimes a novel covers only a few hours in a whole book, but this novella covered a life time, and some time travel.

I would recommend this book. I am not one to have read many ancient Egyptian based books and I don’t think the accuracy as to whether a queen like Rubaisha could have existed matters, I read historical fiction books as a story and this story I enjoyed. As mentioned I would love to know what happened to Alaina.

I would give this book 7/10.

Giveaway! Mermaid tail

If, like me, you love these mermaid tail blankets which are all the rage at the moment, you will understand my excitement when I was offered one to review:

STURME Mermaid Tail Blanket , Handmade Knitted , Sofa Quilt living room blanket Blue Mermaid Blanket for Adults and Kids (74.8 inch x 38.2 inch)

The tail is the perfect size for both children or adults:

Available for just £14.99 it is really well priced and considering the price is so low it is really good quality. The stitching is nice and tight, does not look like it will come apart or get damaged easily.

The tail itself has a slit up the back so you can get into it easily without damaging or stretching it. The material is lovely and soft, perfect for a cold winter’s evening.

They were kind enough to send us a free mermaids tail, so we can provide one as a giveaway to one of our lucky followers.

Deluxe Cheesy-pasta #foodiefriday #recipe

I adore easy to cook meals and this one is so simple!

pasta

bacon

halloumi

onion

frozen peas

tinned sweetcorn

soft cheese (Philadelphia or equivalent own brand version)

Pre-cook the bacon, onion and halloumi and in a separate pan boil the pasta and frozen peas and sweetcorn

img_2818

mix all together and add the soft cheese

img_2819

Stir well and grate some cheese on top if you like, and serve!

img_2820

The great thing about this recipe is that you can add whatever you like, put chicken in, other vegetables, new potatoes or rice instead of pasta, use the flavoured cheeses (garlic and herb, black pepper etc), add milk or cream if the sauce is too thick. It is really yummy, but really quick and easy.
